The Nasarawa State police command has presented cheques worth N61 million to  families of officers and men who lost their lives in line of duty.

The development came a few weeks after cheques worth over N30 million were handed to families of another set of officers and men who lost their lives in similar circumstances.

A statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel said the ceremony was performed by the commissioner of police in the state, Mr. Maiyaki Baba on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman.

The statement quoted the commissioner as saying that families of 106 deceased officers and men benefited from the gesture.
