The police in Kano State have trained officers and men of the command on effective traffic control and charged them to ensure smooth traffic flow. The police also distributed reflective jackets for efficient service delivery.
The training was organised for Area Traffic Officers (ATOs) and Divisional Traffic Officers (DTOs) supervising the traffic control of Area Commands and Police Divisions, respectively, within Kano Metropolis by the state police commissioner Mr Maman Dauda.
Kano State Police Command Motor Traffic Division (MTD), led by SP Abubakar Imam, said the officers were trained and directed to ensure smooth traffic flow, and take cognizance of emergency occurrences.
At the end of the training sessions, the traffic officers received reflective jackets, and were directed to ensure efficient service delivery.
Dauda appreciated the officers for their efforts and thanked members of the public for their prayers, support, encouragement and cooperation.
