Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has challenged former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua to a boxing match.
The singer made the bold claim on Thursday during a media event ahead of his fight with content creator Carter Efe. Portable stated that he is ready to take down the professional boxer if promoters can offer him a ₦1 billion fight purse.
Declaring himself the face of Nigerian boxing, the singer insisted that no one can take his title away. Portable is already known for celebrity boxing, having previously defeated social media personality Speed Darlington and actor Charles Okocha in similar exhibition matches.
The singer also shared details about his earnings in the sport. He revealed that he was paid ₦40 million to fight Carter Efe and that wealthy supporters have promised him another ₦100 million and a car if he wins.
The match between Portable and Carter Efe is scheduled to hold today, May 1, at the Balmoral Hall in Victoria Island, Lagos.
