In a move to support the federal government’s initiative to promote the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in vehicles, Portland Gas Limited has introduced cutting-edge Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to streamline the conversion process.
Chief executive officer, Portland Gas Limited, Folajimi Mohammed, who made this known, said the software, which is designed to schedule and handle all auto conversion appointments, ensures that every driver has a smooth and hassle-free experience when making the switch to CNG.
Additionally, he said the CRM system will create and retain a comprehensive database of all conversions, enabling Portland Gas to track progress, identify trends, and continuously improve their services.
“This database will be an invaluable resource, not just for Portland Gas, but for the entire CNG ecosystem. It will allow us to provide better support to our customers, optimise our operations, and contribute valuable insights to the broader CNG community,” Mohammed said.
The introduction of the software comes as part of Portland Gas’ commitment to supporting the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi) in every way possible. The company has also launched the MyCNG App, a user-friendly platform designed to facilitate the transition to CNG by providing real-time information on CNG stations, fuel prices, and conversion centres.
“We believe that this initiative will set a new standard for service excellence in the CNG sector and further accelerate the adoption of this clean, efficient fuel,” Mohammed added.
The federal government, through the PCNGi, has been partnering with the private sector to subsidise the conversion of vehicles from Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) to CNG. The government has also launched a CNG app for e-hailing cab operators, offering a 50 per cent discount on conversion costs.
With the introduction of Portland Gas’ CRM software and the government’s efforts to promote CNG adoption, Nigerians can look forward to more affordable, efficient, and environmentally friendly transportation options in the near future.
