The federal government has announced plans to rebuild

180 kilometers of Mubi-Bama highways as part of post-insurgency intervention to foster transportation between Borno and Adamawa states.

Minister of Education Tahir Mamman made the disclosure during the town hall meeting held in Yola yesterday, assuring that work would commence this week on the roads.

He observed that the project when completed would reduce the risk of accidents and foster easy transportation between the states.

According to him, funds have already been made available for the project.
