Ahead of the judgement of the Bauchi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on Wednesday, the Air Mashal Sadique Abubakar Support Organization has urged supporters and people of the State to prepare to celebrate the victory of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18, 2023 election, over his anticipated victory from Tribunal.
The group also said that having diligently monitored the proceedings at the Tribunal, it was satisfied with Air Marshal Abubakar’s evidences advanced by his lawyers, which called for his declaration as the rightful winner of the governorship election.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, the Director-General of the group, Hajiya Maryam Yunusa Danjaki, noted that, “We call on our supporters and the good people of Bauchi to prepare for celebration over the impending victory judgment from the Tribunal tomorrow.
“We have studiously monitored proceedings at the Bauch state election tribunal, and are satisfied that our candidate, based on the evidence adduced by our lawyers, should be declared the winner of the election.
“We are delighted to once again host you in our Secretariat, this time, on a solidarity mission with Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar, Rtd, our, gubernatorial candidate in the recently held election in Bauchi state.
“Reports at our disposal indicate that the good people of Bauchi willfully elected the Air Marshall Sadique in a free and fair election, but, which was manipulated by the opposition
“We call on the election tribunal to restore the stolen mandate to our candidate by unanimously declaring Air Marshall Sadique, Rtd, as the duly elected governor of Bauchi State.”
She further said that the Tribunal would be doing justice only by going ahead to pronounce the APC candidate as the duly elected governor who should be sworn in accordingly.
“We implore the Tribunal to take a queue from the presidential election petition which confirmed that our president was duly elected,” she added.
She described the APC as a party that is known for discipline and adherence to the rule of law, which is the source of attraction for millions of Nigerians.
