A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ohaji/Egbema local government area of Imo State, Rev. Emmanuel Ebomuche, has lauded President Muhammadu Buhari over his achievements in the last seven and half years.
Speaking with LEADERSHIP yesterday, Ebomuche, who said Buhari’s achievements were enough to get all the APC candidates elected in the 2023 general election, added that the President has done well for Nigeria.
He listed the Buhari administration’s achievements as Abuja-Kaduna, Lagos-Ibadan and Itakpe-Warri modern rail systems, Second Niger Bridge, National Social Investment Programme, Petroleum Industry Act, Integrated National Security and Waterways Protection Infrastructure, Anchor Borrowers’ Programme, Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline project, Bonny-Bodo Road project, Airport Terminals, among others.
Ebomuche said this was the first time since 1999 that an administration would boast of at least one road construction in every state of the federation and completed housing projects in 35 states.
“President Buhari has liberated Nigeria’s territory from insurgents. He has also re-equipped of our security forces, the same security forces that were left stranded when money meant to equip them were looted silly by rampaging officials, some of whom admitted to spending N2.2billion to pray against Boko Haram?”
“The Buhari administration has also recorded unprecedented National Social Investment Programme under which 9.8 million school children are fed one meal daily, under which 1 million youths have been empowered.
“Another 500,000 who are undergoing trainings under the N-Power and the 1,632,480 households that have been enrolled in the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme,” he said.
He called on Nigerians to give APC another chance in the forthcoming elections to sustain the laudable and legacy projects of Buhari.
