She made the plea during a dialogue on violence and conflict resolution for Federal Capital Territory FCT) secondary school students at the Government Secondary School, Life Camp.

Her call came against the backdrop of the recent bullying incident in a school in the FCT.
Rinsola stressed the need for schools to implement strategies against drug abuse among students before it escalates into a public issue.

“It is crucial that we handle issues concerning minors with care. Young people need to understand that any perceived benefits from drug abuse are short-lived and carry serious consequences,” she said.

Also, the director of the campaign team for Advocacy for Positive Behavioral Patterns Initiative, Bamidele Mann, stressed the need for Nigerian youths to steer clear of drugs and violence. The initiative brought its campaign to

the school after finding that students displayed lackadaisical attitude towards academics.
„We initiated this advocacy campaign to explain to them why they should abandon violence and embrace cooperation,“ Mann explained.
