Owodunni Ibrahim,  aka Primeboy, a childhood friend of the late singer, Ileriouluwa Aloba, popularly called Mohbad, has filed a petition before the police against the deceased’s widow, Wunmi, for alleged false accusations and threats to life.

There have been public concerns regarding the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam, and the circumstances that surround the death of the late 27-year-old singer.

Mohbad was a signee under Marlian Records owned by Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley.

After his death, Marley and a popular Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry; were arrested and interrogated by the Lagos State Police Command to give accounts of what they knew about Mohbad’s death.

Primeboy was also declared wanted by the state police command on October 4, 2023, after which he turned himself in two days later.

On March 12, Primeboy visited the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, with one Ayobami Fisayo, aka Spending,

Part of the bail conditions granted him during Mohbad’s case was that “he would come to the State CID every Tuesday to sign just to keep an eye on him so that he wouldn’t run away,” according to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.

Hundeyin said then that the afro singer was summoned for questioning over alleged defamation of character and other allegations cited in an earlier petition filed by Wunmi.

However, the petition was faulted by Mohbad’s family.

As contained in a statement on his Instagram account on Friday, Primeboy challenged Wunmi to come forward and reveal the truth about her late husband’s death.

Sharing the petition on his Instagram account, he wrote, “I told you to stop mentioning my name…… You didn’t stop……. Now It is time to tell the whole world the truth you said you know about what killed your boyfriend (Mohbad)….. Or you face the music!!!!!!!.”

The petition, filed by Alexime Law Associates on behalf of the singer, was addressed to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos.

In the petition, Primeboy also accused Wunmi of using operatives of the SCID to “intimidate and coerce into making false confession of causing grievous bodily harm on Ilerioluwa Aloba (deceased) aка Mohbad.”

The petition read in part, “Petition against Omowunmii Adebanji (Aloba) for threat to life, false accusation and using men of the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID to intimidate and coerce Mr Owodunsi Ibrahim (our client) into making false confession of causing grievous bodily harm on Ilerioluwa Aloba (deceased ) aка Mohbad.

“Petition against Inspector Muhammed of State CID Panti for official high handedness, abuse of police powers and attempt to pervert justice contrary to Section 92 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”
