Starting a bottling water company in Nigeria is a very lucrative and good business  considering the population and the target market.

The increasing demand for clean water production has expanded the market of bottle water in Nigeria.

He said, this will also cover about 30 per cent of your initial investment in one year because of the high demand of bottle water in Nigeria and within 3 years and half; you have made your initial start-up capital.

Thoroughly research your target consumers and market area. Evaluate competitors, pricing, consumer preferences and demand trends. This data helps determine if your planned bottled water business will be viable long term and profitable serving your local or regional market.

 

Develop Business Plan

He said, investors need to create a detailed business plan covering your products, operations, team, financial projections and more.

Acquire Land & Obtain Permits

Abiona Identified the need for a suitable property for your factory building and bottling company. He said you need to acquire land and Obtain local building permits and all required regulatory approvals before site development.

 

Build/Lease Factory

Construct or lease a plant facility suited for housing your equipment, projected production volumes and processes. Install all required utilities like electricity, water, ventilation and waste water management systems.

 

Recruit And Train Staff

Hire and train a team comprising managers, production specialists, quality control, maintenance, sales and support staff. Provide training on equipment operation, quality control processes and company policies.

Install an IT system covering production scheduling, inventory management, order processing, accounting and other organizational functions required to efficiently manage operations.

 

Marketing And Distribution of Bottle Water

Furthermore, he said, “we need to build relationships with retailers, distributors and/or brokers to handle sales and logistics for your products. Market your brand through promotions, advertising and an online presence. Bottling water plant cost of advertising your water brand can be substantial.”
