ProvidusUnity Bank said it has engaged more than 1,000 customers and prospective customers in Kano, Sokoto and Abuja as part of its post merger customer outreach.
According to the bank, the engagements provided customers with an opportunity to interact with the bank’s management and business teams on credit, digital banking, payments, trade services, export financing and customer experience.
The bank said the forums were designed to obtain feedback from customers and gain a better understanding of their financial needs following the merger that created ProvidusUnity Bank.
Speaking at one of the forums, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Walter Akpani, said the merger had increased the bank’s capacity to support customers but stressed the need to translate the expanded scale into improved services.
He said, “The merger has created a stronger institution with greater capacity to support our customers’ ambitions. However, size and scale only create value when they translate into better experiences and more relevant solutions for the people we serve.
“That is why we are engaging directly with our customers across the country, listening to their feedback, understanding their priorities, and identifying new ways to support their growth.”
Akpani said the bank would focus on areas including access to finance, digital banking, trade support, payments and advisory services. “Our vision is to be a trusted partner in the success of our customers,” he said.
The bank said the Northern engagements are expected to be followed by similar forums in other parts of the country.
