The North-west and South-west governors received the award at the LEADERSHIP 2023 Conference and Awards themed:”An Economy in Distress: Which Way Forward?,” held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotels, Abuja.

Radda clinched the Governor of the Year award for his efforts in changing the narrative of insecurity in the state through pioneering community-driven policing with intelligence gathering, and building trust between security agencies and local communities, among other strides.

The Katsina State governor, accompanied by his predecessor, former Governor Aminu Masari and other leaders was presented with the award by an All Progressives Congress Chieftain, Sen. Barnabas Gemade.

On his part, Makinde received the award for massive infrastructure development projects and good governance in Oyo State, under his watch.
