No fewer than 500 runners will participate in the Run Club of Abuja (RCA) Charity Half Marathon billed to hold July 13, 2024 in Abuja.
RCA president, Mr Emmaunel Blaze Otokpa, made the disclosure yesterday at the press conference heralding the event held in Abuja.
He said this year’s run for fitness ‘Charity Half Marathon’ which is being organised in partnership with a leading innovative financial solutions provider, Norreberger, as the headline sponsor, will see participants competing in a 10km and 21km distance race just like last year as well as the ‘Fun Run’ for kids from age 6 to 13.
According to Otokpa, the event which is the fourth edition in a series is aiming at raising N10m for charity work in Alheri Community, providing essential medication and medical equipment to those affected by leprosy.
“We are delighted to partner with Norrenberger for the Charity Half Marathon Abuja 2024. This event is not just about running; it’s about making a real difference in the lives of those in need. The support from Norrenberger and other sponsors will help us reach our goal of raising N10 million naira for the Alheri Community, providing essential medication and medical equipment to those affected by leprosy.
