Real Estate Tycoon, Wale Ponnle, Bags Nelson Mandela Leadership Award

Chief Operating Officer of Gracias Global Homes & Property Ltd and co-founder of Peak Global Network, Wale Ponnle, has received the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), becoming a West African Youth Ambassador.

“We have read very much well about you as an exceptional entrepreneur with a difference, realtor of note, a mentor to young people and miracle to humanity. You are a real estate expert with a difference, who offers real estate consultancy through your company (one of the fastest growing real estate companies), providing housing units to the masses at affordable prices and creating job opportunities for young people,” the West Africa Youth Council said in a message delivered to the real estate guru.

According to the statement, Mr. Ponnle will automatically serve as a Life Ambassador of the youth council, he will be granted audience at every meeting and events of the youth council. He will also automatically become one of the faces of the youth councils on support to the youths in general.

“You will be invited to attend events on behalf of the youth council on international events across the globe and stand in for the youth council when necessary.

“You have all diplomatic rights to use the title of ambassador of the youth council. You stand in amongst others as the face of West African youths. You can empower young people through your initiative in partnership with the youth council…. You have all privileges to speak on behalf of youths and youth related issues across the nation and beyond,” the statement added.

Responding, Ponnle said the award was a testament to the triumph of excellence and diligence.

“I am elated beyond measure to receive this honour from the ECOWAS Youth Council. Our dogged commitment to excellence and diligence must have been noticed. I look forward to serving in my capacity as an ambassador by continuing to espouse these values and inspire other youths in West Africa,” the real estate guru said.

Prominent Nigerians, who have received similar honours before, included Seyi Tinubu, Prof. Moghalu, Olakunle Churchill, Amen Rochas Okorocha, former IG of Police, Tonto Dikeh, CEO, Unique Motors, Linda Ikeji, and Prince Eletu.

Wale Ponnle is the Chief Operating Officer of Gracias Global Homes & Properties Ltd, a real estate firm that has provided functional homes and affordable serviced plots to almost 5,000 subscribers. He is also the Co-Founder of Peak Global Network, a growing community of seasoned Real Estate Marketers.

Before being named the COO in October 2020, Ponnle was an expert Business Development and Online Marketing Consultant who has contributed to the success of over 1,000 SMEs in areas of business structure and workflow processes development.

He is a graduate of the prestigious and highly ranked University of Lagos, and a member of many international and local Professional Associations. He is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School. He is a seasoned trainer in areas of self-development, work ethics, organisational behaviour, business strategy and teeam building.
