Real Madrid Move To Tie Down Vinicius Jr With €22m Deal Amid Arsenal Interest

Real Madrid have offered Vinicius Junior a new contract worth around €22 million per year in a bid to secure the long-term future of one of their most influential players, amid continued interest from Arsenal.

According to ESPN, the Spanish giants have tabled fresh terms to the Brazilian forward as they seek to ward off growing speculation over his future at the Santiago Bernabéu.

However, the report claims the 26-year-old is holding out for a significantly improved package, with his representatives seeking a salary closer to €30 million annually. Vinicius reportedly views the negotiations as the most important of his career, believing it could be the final major contract of his playing days.

The Brazil international is understood to feel that his contributions to Real Madrid—including domestic league titles, UEFA Champions League success and consistently outstanding performances—justify a higher valuation from the club.

Despite the latest offer, negotiations appear to have stalled, with no further meeting currently scheduled between the two parties to continue discussions.

The uncertainty has alerted several of Europe’s leading clubs, with Arsenal continuing to monitor developments closely. The Premier League side are reportedly prepared to make Vinicius the highest-paid player in the club’s history should an opportunity arise to bring him to north London.

Although Real Madrid remain keen to retain one of their biggest stars, the lack of progress in contract talks has fuelled speculation over the Brazilian’s long-term future.

For now, Vinicius remains under contract with the Spanish champions, but unless a breakthrough is reached in negotiations, interest from clubs such as Arsenal is expected to intensify in the coming months.
