They stated this while congratulating Yilwatda on his emergence as the new national chairman of the APC.

The US chapter, led by Prof. Tai Balofin, commended the party leadership for picking a technocrat and academic guru capable of revitalising the party’s fortunes.

Balofin, however, urged Yilwatda to leverage his expertise to rebrand the APC through innovative political policies and winning strategies to secure victory in the 2027 elections.

He emphasised the importance of prioritising the welfare of the party’s National Working Committee and other officials to foster unity and strengthen the party’s foundation.

Balofin further asked Prof Yilwatda to adopt a door-to-door campaign strategy and implement people-oriented voter education programs to enhance voter engagement.

“The chapter believes these initiatives will position the APC to connect with grassroots supporters, counter opposition challenges, and achieve electoral success in 2027.

“The APC USA chapter expressed confidence in Prof. Yilwatda’s ability to align the party with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, promoting impactful reforms, inclusivity, and adherence to the party’s core values,” the chapter said.

On its part, the APC in Jigawa State said Yilwatda’s selection was well deserved, adding that it is a testament to his merit and proven leadership qualities.

In a press statement signed by APC chairman in the state, Hon Aminu Sani Gumel, the chapter urged Yilwatda to use his vast experience and distinguished track record to reposition the party, promote unity among members, and sustain democracy, peace, and progress in the country.

The state said, “Today, the APC represents the hope of Nigerians. The APC-led federal government is renewing hope for prosperity and stability,, therefore strengthening the party is key to the nation’s survival.

“More so, Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s led APC administration, under his 12-point agenda, has brought transformative leadership and governance to Jigawa state, significantly improving the social and economic lives of the people over the past two years.

“The APC family in Jigawa State reaffirms its unwavering support and commitment to collaborating with the new National Chairman to advance the party’s goals ahead of the  2027 general elections,” the statement read.
