The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Region 46, is set to host the 3rd edition of its highly anticipated regional sports festival, aiming to foster unity, healthy competition, and physical wellness among its member parishes.

Scheduled to begin from May to July 2006, the event will bring together thousands of participants, including youth groups, adult teams, and clergy members from parishes across the region.

The festival is designed to showcase athletic talent while reinforcing the church’s commitment to holistic well-being, encompassing both spiritual and physical development.

Speaking to journalists at a press conference in Abuja, Regional Pastor Ola Adejubee, said the aim of the festival is to revive sports to put it in its proper place.

“The idea is to revive and restore sports to put it in its proper place, a place of pride, so that we can enjoy good health, a sound mind and perfect spirituality. Sports bring people together irrespective of religion or race, Adejubee said.
