Former Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has told party supporters in Auchi, Etsako West local government area of the state to reject the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo at the September 21 governorship election in the state.
He alleged that the PDP candidate has no claim to have done anything for the people of the state having presided over many private sectors’ multi-billion naira establishments, adding that the people of the state cannot afford to entrust the leadership of the state to such an individual.
He alleged that Governor Godwin Obaseki brought a man who forged a voter card to contest for governorship, adding that the process that produced Asue as a candidate was faulty.
Oshiomhole said, “The PDP as a party has no candidate as we talk. The Federal High Court Abuja has said so. The process that brought Asue Ighodalo in the primaries was also faulted by the court. So, don’t go and waste your votes for the PDP.”
According to him, the Edo State government led by Governor Obaseki deceived the World Bank to collect money for ‘Edo Best,’ but there is nothing to show for it.
“The World Bank may have been used to collect money, Edo People will not pay. We must tell Obaseki to show where he used the money.”
Also, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo promised to create over 5,000 jobs for the youths in the state within the first 100 days in office.
According to the APC candidate, development will start from where former Governor Adams Oshiomhole stopped.
Okpebholo promised to create a peaceful environment in the state as kidnapping and other vices will go with the Obaseki-led government.
