The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, has been conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of “Ugosimba 1 of Enugu”, in recognition of her tireless efforts in promoting women empowerment and social development across Nigeria.
The title, which translates to “Jewel of Empowerment” in Igbo, was bestowed on Senator Tinubu by traditional rulers in Enugu State during her two-day working visit to the region.
In a colourful and symbolic ceremony attended by political leaders, women groups, traditional leaders, and members of the public, the First Lady was celebrated for her impactful initiatives geared toward improving the lives of women and vulnerable populations across the country.
