Remo Stars Beat Abia Angels, Win 2024 Sheroes Cup

Debutants Remo Stars Ladies defeated Abia Angels 6-4 on penalties to lift the 2024 Sheroes Cup at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.

Ekozie Dikachi scored a wonderful goal in the 11th minute putting Abia Angels ahead in the first half of the keenly contested final, yesterday.

After the break, Remo Stars Ladies played to the instructions of their coach, equalised in the 46th minute through Kehinde Deborah.

Earlier, in the third place match, Naija Ratels beat Bayelsa Queens 5-4 on penalties.

Super substitute, Arit Titus put the visitors ahead when she scored in the 20th minute before Nwachukwu Adana leveled the scores for the hosts, Naija Ratels. Remo Stars Ladies Head Coach, Wemimo Mathew was adjudged the best coach of the competition while Abia Angels striker, Lucky Mary was awarded Most Valuable Player.
