The chief executive officer (CEO) of Zylus Group International, Oluwatosin Olatujoye, said the aim of Retrust Microfinance Bank was to address unemployment challenges in Nigeria by creating new job opportunities through its operations.

The bank also promised to prioritise skills development and career advancement for its employees.

Olatujoye, who shared his vision ahead of the unveiling of the microfinance bank next month, said, “Unemployment remains a critical issue in our country, and we see Retrust Microfinance Bank as a catalyst for change.

“By expanding our operations, we aim to create job opportunities that will contribute to the economic empowerment of our community.”

He explained that Retrust Microfinance Bank plans to hire locally, offering positions ranging from customer service roles to financial advisors and administrative staff.

“These job opportunities are expected to provide employment to individuals with various skill sets and educational backgrounds, contributing to economic growth and stability.

“Our approach is to empower local talent,” Oluwatosin emphasised, adding that, “We believe in investing in our community by hiring and training individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the financial services sector.”

He noted that beyond direct employment, Retrust Microfinance Bank’s presence is expected to stimulate economic activity in the surrounding areas of its operations.

“The bank’s operations will create opportunities for local businesses, such as suppliers and service providers, supporting the growth of the broader economy.

“We are committed to fostering an ecosystem where businesses can thrive.

“Through partnerships and collaborations with local entrepreneurs, we aim to create a ripple effect of economic empowerment that extends beyond our direct operations.

“As we prepare for the launch of Retrust Microfinance Bank, our focus remains on creating sustainable opportunities for growth and development.

“We are excited about the positive impact our operations will have on employment and economic prosperity in our community,” he stated.
