Richie, who disclosed this in an interview with LEADERSHIP, said he believes his label was poised to play a pivotal role in defining the next chapter of the globally recognised genre.
“I established Richie Music Empire to provide a platform for talented artists to showcase their skills and reach a wider audience. The Nigerian music industry is ripe for innovation, and now is the perfect time to make a bold move,” Richie averred.
According to the CEO, his label was focused on nurturing new talent and setting trends that will influence the sound of Afrobeats in the years to come.
Richie revealed that one of Richie Music Empire’s missions was artist development, with a personalised approach to helping artists grow. “Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where artists can thrive creatively. We’re not just looking for success; we’re focused on creating long-lasting careers by offering top-notch production, promotion, and a unique space for artists to express themselves freely,” he explained.
The label has already signed two rising stars, Blaqmanta and Ranti, whose styles aligned with the label’s vision of shaping the future of Afrobeats. Richie praised the duo’s talent and work ethic, saying, “They have the potential to define the next wave of Afrobeats, and we’re excited to see where their journey with Richie Music Empire takes them.”
