Rimi Takes Over As New PermSec Ministry of Steel

Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi has assumed duty as the new permanent secretary in the Federal Ministry of Steel Development following a formal handover ceremony held at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja on Friday.

Rimi, who was recently redeployed from the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, took over from Dr Chris Osa Isokpunwu. The development was disclosed in a statement by the assistant director of information and public relations in the ministry, Tine-Iulun.

Speaking during the ceremony, Dr Isokpunwu expressed appreciation to the management and staff of the ministry for their cooperation and dedication throughout his tenure.

He highlighted some of the initiatives and progress made in advancing the federal government’s vision of revitalising Nigeria’s steel sector.
