Rivers Hoopers Sign Olisemeka Ahead Of Basketball Africa League

Five-time champions of the Nigeria Premier Basketball League, Rivers Hoopers, have completed the signing of Peter Olisemeka ahead of the 2024 Basketball Africa League.

The six-foot-nine center recently played for RM Valcea in România. He averaged 11.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 29 games in the regular season and averaged 15 points and 11.8 rebounds during the playoffs in the Romanian league.

Olisemeka also played for ZZ Leiden in the Netherlands, where he averaged 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in four games at the 2023 FIBA Europe Cup finals.

The 32-year-old joins Devine Eke, Kelvin Amayo, John Wilkins, and Will Perry as the team’s foreign imports for the Basketball Africa League.
