Renowned gospel singer and Nollywood soundtrack icon, Onos Nancy Brisibi, has died at the age of 55.

She passed away on March 23, 2026, after a prolonged illness.

Her death was announced by her cousin, veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), in an emotional tribute shared on his Instagram page, where he described her as more than family.

“It’s hard to put into words the loss we feel,” he wrote, noting that the late singer was “love in human form” and a devoted Christian whose music lifted hearts and drew people closer to God.

Born on November 20, 1970, to Apostle Ambrose Oproze Brisibi and Deaconess Mary Koko Brisibi of Aladja in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, Onos built a legacy rooted in faith, music, and storytelling.

Her vocals featured prominently in Nollywood classics, including Domitilla and Blood Money, where her sound helped shape the emotional texture of some of the industry’s most memorable scenes.

RMD, in his tribute, shared personal memories of their bond, noting her playful nature and the joy she brought to those around her.
