It also presented branded waste bins and sanitation tools to the police barracks in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The sanitation tools, branded waste bins, brooms and rakes, are intended to support regular sanitation within the police compound and barracks.

At the event in Port Harcourt, the president of Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Gateway, Ben Emeruwa, said the project was borne out of the need to support the police in maintaining their environment while ensuring the station is easily identifiable to residents and visitors.

Emeruwa said, “The project was necessitated by the need to maintain the police force’s buildings and the faded police signboard, which is necessary to aid people not conversant with the Mile 1 area to easily notice that there is a police presence there.
