Rovers FC Players, Officials Injured In Road Accident

Calabar-based football club, Rovers FC, of the Nigeria National League (NNL), were involved in a road traffic accident near Asaba on Tuesday.

The team was en route to Lagos for a rescheduled NNL fixture against Sporting Lagos, set to take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Wednesday.

 

The club confirmed that several players, officials, and staff sustained injuries in the incident and are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

Rovers FC management stated that their immediate priority is the welfare of those affected during this challenging period.
