Former minister of state for transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, has enjoined Muslims to uphold the spirit of sacrifice, obedience, and faith exhibited by the Prophet Muhammad while on earth as they mark the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
In his Sallah message to the Muslim Ummah on Eid El Kabir, Adegoroye said a nation whose people have absolute faith in God will certainly make sustainable progress.
The former minister also appealed to religious leaders not to relent in their teachings of the word of God.
According to him, when people continuously listen to the message of upholding great values, they are more likely to embrace it.
While expressing gratitude to God for the privilege of celebrating another Eid-el-Kabir, Adegoroye prayed that the economic and security challenges confronting the nation would soon end.
He, however, expressed gladness that Nigeria has stayed united despite different religious and cultural inclinations.
Adegoroye added that ethnic and religious harmony are key factors for rapid development.
