Schneider Electric has appointed Steven Santini as Vice President, Secure Power, Sub-Saharan Africa.

The company said the Secure Power division is responsible for delivering technologies and systems that support digital resilience and protect critical infrastructure across industries. It provides solutions designed to ensure reliable and sustainable operations for data centres, distributed IT systems and other key sectors of the global economy.

Santini brings over 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, channel leadership and strategic partnerships. He has built expertise in developing solution-driven ecosystems that integrate information technology and operational technology.

Born in South Africa, Santini previously worked with Schneider Electric in the United Kingdom and Ireland, where he joined in 2018. He served as IT Channel Director for the region, leading a shift from hardware-focused sales to a solutions-driven business model. He also recently led global strategic alliances, focusing on enterprise data centres, prefabricated systems and sustainability-driven software.

In his new role, Santini will focus on expanding Secure Power’s ecosystem across Sub-Saharan Africa by strengthening partnerships and driving a more outcome-based approach to service delivery.

Speaking on his appointment, Santini said the company aims to prioritise value-driven solutions over product sales.

“I strongly believe we should not be selling products; we should be delivering outcomes. When we understand the full technology stack and the workloads our customers are running, the conversation shifts to business performance, resilience and sustainability,” he said.

He added that building trust and strong relationships will be key to success in the region.

“Africa operates on relationships. People buy from people, and trust is everything. Our priority is to strengthen our ecosystem — partners, alliances and customers — to support sustainable growth through 2026 and beyond,” he said.

Santini noted that establishing a solid ecosystem would position the region to accelerate advanced solution-selling strategies and improve overall performance.
