SDP Picks Maibulawus As Zamfara Gov Candidate

Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Zamfara State has conducted its governorship primary election with Hon. Hamza Musa Maibulawus emerging as its 2027 governorship candidate.

Declaring the results of the election held in 14 local government areas on Tuesday evening in Gusau, the SDP Primaries Committee chairman, Comrade Bello Hussaini, disclosed that the election was peaceful and orderly.

According to him, the governorship primary that produced Maibulawus was conducted through a voice vote.

“The exercise was peaceful, orderly, free, and fair, where Hon. Hamza Musa Maibulawus emerged as the 2027 SDP governorship candidate in the state,” he said.

He further disclosed that the governorship primaries was conducted in line with party guidelines across the 14 local government areas of the state.

In his remarks, the Zamfara SDP governorship candidate, through his running mate Hon. Murtala Jangebe, assured of winning the 2027 elections in the state.

“SDP is prepared to slug it out with the incumbent governor. Our blueprint is for the development of the state economically and socially; we have a blueprint for the betterment of citizens,” he said.
