Security Agencies Hold Show Of Force In Taraba

A combined team of the Nigerian Army, Immigration, NSCDC and DSS yesterday held a show of force around Jalingo, the Taraba State capital to assure the public that their safety is guaranteed.

The exercise which commenced from the state police headquarters located a few meters from Government House was conducted from Barde to Hamaruwa way. All the men were heavily armed.

It was gathered that the exercise was in response to the proposed nationwide protest expected slated for August

The Commander, 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brig. Gen. Kingsley Uwa, said the exercise was to assure the people that their lives and property were safe.

Acting police public relations officer DSP Gambo Kwachi said the command was aware of the exercise.
