The Senate Minority Whip, Senator Osita Ngwu, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the son and grandson of the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro.
Senator Moro, who represents Benue South Senatorial District, lost his son, Victor Moro, and his grandson within a span of 24 hours, a tragedy that has thrown his family and political associates into mourning.
In a condolence message issued on Tuesday, Senator Ngwu said he received the news of the deaths with “profound shock and sadness,” describing the incident as both painful and unfortunate.
He prayed for divine comfort for Senator Moro and his entire family during this difficult time, asking God to grant the deceased eternal rest and to give the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss.
LEADERSHIP recalls that Senator Moro’s son, Victor, who had recently completed his studies in Turkey, returned to Nigeria to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
Sadly, his life was cut short in a fatal motor accident along the Mararaba axis in Nasarawa State, barely 24 hours after the burial of his nephew.
The younger Moro had reportedly travelled from his family home to attend to personal matters when the accident occurred.
