Senator Unveils Tinubu Bursary Awards For 3,000 Kogi Students

A total of 3,000 tertiary institution students in Kogi State are to benefit from President Bola Tinubu’s Educational Support Group Bursary.

A breakdown of the figure, showed that 1,000 are from Kogi East, 610 from Kogi Central and 1,390 from Kogi West senatorial districts.

The bursary scheme, which offers a year scholarship for tuition, is facilitated by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi’s Education Foundation.

Karimi, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, disclosed this journalists in Lokoja yesterday, while announcing the commencement of the scheme.

He said each beneficiary would receive N100,000, adding that the date for application for the bursary begins on August 1, 2025.

A similar bursary by Karimi for 1,000 tertiary institution students was paid to students by the foundation last year, where the senator expended N100million on 1,000 students.
