REARRANGE YOUR FURNITURE
Sometimes, the way you arrange your furniture makes your rooms seem dark. You can brighten up a room by rearranging the furniture to let more natural light in.

USE WHITE OR LIGHT-COLORED FURNITURE
Use white furniture, rather than dark colors. Consider cream couches, and white tables. If you also have dark wood floors, then adding an off-white rug can do wonders.

ADD MIRRORS
Mirrors are incredibly handy in home decor for a couple reasons. First, they will make your room appear larger. In addition to opening up your room’s space, they’ll also reflect any light coming into the room, especially if placed across from light sources, such as windows.

KEEP DECOR MINIMAL
If you’re trying to brighten a small room, place fewer objects and decor in the room. A balanced, open space will help the room feel more airy and light.

CLEAN
What your house might actually need more than anything is a good cleaning. Wipe down all of your surfaces, clean scuff marks off the walls, and dust wherever possible.

USE BRIGHT, WHITE BULBS
If your lamps are giving off a yellow tint, consider switching them out for something new. Try Bright White LED bulbs to maximize the brightness coming from your lamps.

ADD FLOWERS OR PLANTS
Flowers or big, leafy plants have a unique way of freshening up a space. Adding plants to your home decor can significantly enhance the ambiance and aesthetics of your living spac.
