Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta has debunked claims that he disrespected Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

Former Nigeria international Finidi declared in an interview that the Rojiblancos have not treated his compatriot with respect.

Iheanacho joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after severing ties with Premier League club Leicester City.

The 28-year-old has, however, struggled for regular playing time at the former UEFA Europa League champions.

The striker has failed to register a goal in nine league appearances for Sevilla.

“We have not disrespected Iheanacho at any time. He has played less than I expected. He is an international player, established, and Isaac has played more,” Pimienta was quoted by Marca.

“It is possible that he has options in European football, but he has not played, just like other teammates, and no one has been disrespected. I think he will have offers, and he will decide. If he stays, there will be no problem.”
