Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President, has inaugurated the state coordinators of the pro-administration group, Relax! Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), in Abuja.

He admonished them to mobilise Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The inauguration formally ushered in coordinators from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), marking a nationwide expansion of the youth-focused advocacy movement.

Seyi Tinubu, who was represented by the matron of the group and former minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, said the organisation was established to defend and explain the policies of the Tinubu administration.

Aliyu said the President had demonstrated courage through reforms such as subsidy removal, tax reforms and foreign exchange policies, noting that the effects were beginning to be reflected in market prices and in global perceptions of Nigeria.

She described the Renewed Hope Agenda as a painful but necessary process, likening it to labour pains that eventually produce joy and urged Nigerians to exercise patience.

According to her, RTIFN members would act as ambassadors, connecting leaders with ordinary Nigerians and cushioning the impact of government policies through enlightenment and engagement

Also, the group’s national coordinator, Hon. Ahmed Bala, described the coordinators as the backbone of the organisation’s operations across the country.

He said it was created to bridge the information gap between the Federal Government and citizens, counter misinformation and encourage patience amid ongoing economic reforms.

Bala said the appointees were entrusted with the responsibility of effective communication, grassroots engagement, and upholding the group’s values in their respective states.

He urged them to work with integrity and unity, stressing that their leadership would determine the movement’s strength and effectiveness.

The national secretary of RTIFN, Dr Felix Arome, said the group was youth-driven and committed to countering misinformation that could derail the administration’s economic policies.

Arome said the organisation was not oblivious to the country’s challenges but believed that the reforms were aimed at securing Nigeria’s future.

The coordinators were administered the oath of office on behalf of Tinubu, after which they were briefed on the group’s structure and reporting lines.
