Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has criticised those opposed to peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in Kaduna State, accusing them of resisting fairness, equity and justice.
Sani, on his Facebook page on Monday, said some people were unhappy that Muslims and Christians in the state were now living peacefully with one another, as well as the departure from what he described as the toxic governance of the past.
To him, development was now being spread equitably across all parts of the state, while political appointments accommodated people of different religious backgrounds.
The 2027 APC senatorial candidate alleged that some of those opposing the changes were active in social media comment sections, describing them as habitual opponents of fairness, equity and justice.
āThere are people who are not happy that Muslims and Christians in Kaduna State are now living in peace with each other,ā he said.
He added that such individuals were also unhappy that the state government had departed from the previous system of governance, with development distributed more equitably and appointments reflecting religious diversity.
Sani described the critics as āthe supporters of our defunct apartheid system,ā accusing them of resisting efforts to promote fairness and inclusion in the state.
