Shettima, Ndace, Uwais Others Grace Under 30 CEOS Awards In Abuja

CEOs Network Africa, the thriving hub for young leaders and entrepreneurs across the African continent, has celebrated the remarkable achievements of visionary entrepreneurs at the Under 30 CEOs Award 2023,

The event with the theme, “Celebrating the Excellence in Our Diversity,” held December 16, 2023 at Abuja.

The organisers say the event is a testament to the dynamic spirit of African entrepreneurship, bringing together young business leaders under the banner of CEOs Network Africa. The gala, with its theme “Celebrating the Excellence in Our Diversity,” showcased the vibrancy and innovation emerging from the continent’s diverse entrepreneurial landscape.

In his address, Vice President Kashim Shettima, who was represented by his Special Adviser on National Economic Council and Climate Change, Rukaiya El-Rufai, emphasised young people’s crucial role in shaping the nation’s future.

“You are our inspiration to focus on cultivating a robust human capital,” he said, envisioning a future where young Nigerians ascend to corporate heights, build billion-dollar empires, and inspire generations of entrepreneurs.

Recognising the challenges of managing a nation’s aspirations, Shettima emphasised the need for an enabling environment.

“This is a phase in the life of this nation where the drive for change must meet our commitment to creating an enabling environment,” he stated, vowing to make young people “ambassadors in a world coming to terms with the inevitability of the Nigerian as a pathfinder, a pace-setter, a trendsetter, and a champion.”

He further pledged collaboration, stating, “We are going to work with you because strategic governance isn’t just an interplay of diverse perspectives and synergy; it’s an investment in succession planning.”

Mina Obeten, the award committee Chairman, expressed gratitude for the collective achievements of the young leaders who are making significant impact in today’s world. “Tonight was not just a celebration; it was a recognition of the transformative power that emerges when diverse minds come together. The Under 30 CEOs Award 2023 is a testament to the resilience, creativity, and boundless potential within our network,” Mina remarked.

Speaking on behalf of CNA, Mr. Omojo Wada Esq., Founding Partner, expressed his gratitude to all attendees of the event, pledging his commitment to ensuring that the good works of young Nigerians, CEOs, creatives, and those who are keen on impacting the lives of others through their initiatives will not go unannounced.

“As CEOs Network Africa reflects on the success of the Under 30 CEOs Award 2023, the organization looks forward to continuing its mission of nurturing and propelling the next generation of African business leaders. The celebration serves as a springboard for even greater collaboration, innovation, and excellence in the years to come.”

Entrepreneurs and changemakers from various sectors and backgrounds were honored for their outstanding contributions, embodying the network’s commitment to identifying, empowering, and inspiring the next generation of business leaders. The awards, spanning categories such as technology, social impact, Agriculture, Politics, break out startup etc. spotlighted the diverse talents shaping Africa’s economic future.

The evening drew esteemed guests, including prominent figures in business and leadership. Some of the special guests for the event includes Sen. Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, Dr. Linus Okorie, President of the Gotni Leadership Centre, Dayo Benjamin Laniyi, Mandate Secretary for FCT Women Affairs, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria etc. the recognition and support from dignitaries underscored the network’s pivotal role in fostering collaboration, innovation, and unity among young entrepreneurs.
