Tradeshow organiser LOGSAMES is set to stage the 6th edition of the Made in Nigeria Shoe Expo (MINSE), billed to take place in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in December.
This edition is expected to attract over 50 exhibitors and more than 5,000 visitors, which will mark the tradeshow’s complete return to the country.
Speaking on their preparedness for the tradeshow, Emmanuel Ugbodaga, national coordinator of Made In Nigeria Shoe, stated that their target audience includes Leather Tanneries, Finished Leather Goods (Bags/Shoes) producers, Chemical and allied products manufacturers, Textile manufacturers, Original equipment manufacturers, etc.
According to Ugbodaga, the Expo’s delegaExpowould include representatives from Footwear, Leather, and Textile Associations and Cooperatives; commercial and trade departments of Diplomatic missions in Nigeria; Vocational and research institutions; Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs); International Development Partners; and Relevant committee members of the National Assembly.
With the theme: “Harnessing Niche Markets In Nigeria’s Leather And Textile Industry”, the Expo also aims to examine future projections for the industry, allow international manufacturers access to leading leather and textile associations in Nigeria, provide access to willing agents for various products and services, and identify niche markets for multiple chemicals, machines and spares needed by the local industry in Nigeria. MINSE remains the principal platform for promoting policy reforms aimed at engendering growth of Nigeria’s footwear and leather industry.”
