Muslims in Osun State have been charged to shun divisive tendencies and parochial interest but to rather ensure oneness among the adherents of Islam in the state.
The president of Osun state Muslim Community (OSMC), Alhaji Mustafa Adeleke Olawuyi gave the charge in Osogbo after the inauguration of the new OSMC executive.
Olawuyi was reappointed and returned as OSMC president for a second term of another four years, by the OSMC Shura Committee led by Ash-Sheikh Abdulteef Abdul Azeez Olayinka Aniyan.
Others are: Mr, Hameed Oyegbade Public Relations Officer, while Alhaji Imaam Sadiq Bolarinde Bello, Alhaji Abolusodun Abibullahi and Alhaji AbdulLateef Olalekan Olayanju were appointed as first, second and third Vice-Chairmen with Alhaji Abdul Ganiyy Kolawole, serving as Secretary General.
In his address, the President called for unity among Muslims and Islamic organisations in Osun State so as to achieve the goals of OSMC.
Olawuyi expressed gratitude to all Muslims and Islamic organisations in the state for their support during his first term and called on the Muslim Ummah in the state to unite and cooperate in promoting Islam and defending the rights of Muslims in the state.
