Signature Bank Commits To Northern Economic Growth, Opens Kano Branch

Signature Bank Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to the northern market, hence, expanded its presence to Kano State.

The new branch, the sixth in the country and first in North-West Nigeria, marks a significant milestone in the bank’s strategic growth agenda and its commitment to providing accessible, technology-driven, and customer-focused financial services across Nigeria.

Speaking at the launch, the chairman of Signature Bank, Alhaji Tijjani M. Borodo, expressed confidence that the bank’s presence would accelerate the State’s drive towards financial inclusion and expand access to innovative financial solutions, especially for SMEs.

He commended the executive governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for fostering an investment-friendly environment and affirmed that Signature Bank will strengthen Kano’s profile as a major hub for commerce and enterprise in the country.

He said, “We see our entry into this great State as an investment in the future of Kano State and a reaffirmation of our commitment to enabling bespoke financial services to regions across the country.

 

“We commend the state governor for his tireless work in ensuring a suitable ecosystem for corporate entities like Signature Bank to operate. As a son of this soil, I am proud to see Signature Bank extend modern, trusted banking services that empower individuals, entrepreneurs, and families to achieve their goals in the state.”

 

The managing director and chief executive officer of Signature Bank, Nixon Iwedi, described the new branch as a bridge connecting innovative and world-class financial services support to the people of Kano State.

 

He added that the bank would continue to leverage its neo-phygital strategy to ensure equitable and satisfactory service delivery.
