Simi, Adekunle Gold Expand Family Tree As Second Child Arrives

Nigeria’s favourite music power couple, Simi and Adekunle Gold, have officially welcomed their second child, ending weeks of speculation by fans.

The “Duduke” singer shared the joyful news on her Instagram page on Wednesday, posting beautiful photos from a maternity shoot where the couple posed in matching denim outfits. According to her post, the new addition to the family arrived on March 10, 2026.

By using the hashtag “#mommyof2,” Simi subtly shut down viral rumours that she had given birth to twins. While the couple celebrated the arrival, they have chosen to keep the baby’s gender and name private for now.

“+1. 3.10.26. God bless my little family,” the singer wrote in the caption.

The announcement marks a happy return to the spotlight for Simi, who recently took a break from social media following a controversy involving resurfaced old tweets. While those past posts sparked debate online, the singer clarified they were taken out of context and were never meant to cause harm.

Simi and Adekunle Gold tied the knot in a private ceremony in January 2019 and welcomed their first daughter, Adejare, in 2020.
