Slavia Praha Stand Firm Amid Growing Interest In Mohammed Tijani

Czech champions Slavia Praha have reportedly rejected several approaches for Nigerian striker Mohammed Tijani as interest in the former Flying Eagles forward continues to grow across Europe.

The towering striker has attracted attention from Hungarian clubs Ferencváros and Debrecen following his impressive development and physical presence in attack.

According to reports from Central Europe, Debrecen — also known as DVSC — have already initiated discussions with Slavia Praha regarding a possible transfer. However, negotiations have stalled because the Czech champions are demanding a fee significantly higher than the Hungarian side are currently willing to pay.

Slavia Praha are understood to value Tijani highly and are reluctant to part ways with the striker unless their financial demands are fully met. Club officials reportedly believe the Nigerian still has considerable room for development and could become a major asset in the coming years.

The 24-year-old has steadily enhanced his reputation with his strength, aerial dominance and ability to hold up play. His performances have not gone unnoticed, particularly among clubs seeking a traditional centre-forward capable of leading the line effectively.

There have also been rumours linking the Hungarian side Újpest FC with the player. However, sources close to Slavia Praha insist that the Budapest-based club has made no formal or informal contact.

Tijani previously represented Nigeria at the youth level with the Flying Eagles and remains one of the country’s promising attacking talents abroad. His progress in Europe continues to attract attention, with scouts closely monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

For now, Slavia Praha appears determined to retain the striker unless a substantial offer arrives. Their firm stance highlights the club’s confidence in Tijani’s long-term value and importance to their future plans.
