A new smartphone brand, Realme, has entered the Nigerian market.
During a tech press question and answer session in Lagos, Realme’s head of marketing in Nigeria, Antonio Ran, unveiled the company’s flagship smartphone, the Realme Note 50.
“Our goal is to popularise advanced technology for all Nigerians, especially the younger generation. We’re offering AI capabilities, fast charging, long battery life, and exceptional cameras, all packed into affordable devices for the Nigerian market,” he stated.
Realme’s head of sales in Nigeria, Olamide Kaka, reinforced the brand’s strategy of focusing on younger customers. “Nigeria has a large youth population eager for good products, but many phones are either too expensive or don’t meet expectations. realme is here to change that,” Kaka said.
Realme’s digital marketing lead, Yusuf Adebari, said that, “Realme is not just a phone you’ll use for two years before it starts failing. Our devices are designed to last longer, with better software and hardware integration.”
For instance, realm’s Note 50 has features such as a fast charger, enhanced camera quality, and a water-resistant design. With plans to establish service centres nationwide, I can assure customers of reliable after-sales support, though the durable design would limit repair needs.”
