One week after his inauguration for a second term in office, Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has sworn in first set of 14 key political appointees.
Besides the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Chiamaka Nnake; Chief of Staff (CoS) to the governor, Dr. Ben Nwankwo; Chief of Protocol, Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor and Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr. Christian Aburime, other appointee sworn in the Executive Chamber of the Light House were
Principal secretary to the governor, Barrister Joachim Anetoh and Head of Service, Mrs Ngozi Iwouno.
Others were commissioner for finance, Uzochukwu Okafor; Attorney-General of the State, Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN; deputy chief of staff, Dr Vincent Okechi; and deputy state chief of protocol, Ms. Ngozi Okoye.
Other positions whose appointees were sworn in were special adviser, Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, Dr Godwin Nnadozie; special adviser, Innovation and Business Incubation & CEO, Solution Innovation District, Ms. Chinwe Okoli; special adviser, Special Projects and Director, Project Evaluation and Monitoring, Prof. Ebuka Nwankwo; and special adviser, Community Security, Mr Ken Emeakayi.
After congratulating the appointees Soludo urged them to be dedicated in their duties to ensure that they contribute meaningfully to the success of his solution agenda.
He told them that they were invited to serve the good people of Anambra State.
” I didn’t appoint you to come and chop but to serve the people with dignity.
“This job is a 24/7 assignment. You are now part of the term Solution 2.0 of my administration.
“You are appointed to add value to the grow and development of the State.
“Let’s work as a term to actualised this administration’s vision of making Anambra a destination hub of Nigeria.
Soludo also appealed to the people of the state to pray for the new appointees to succeed in their various capabilities.
He ssured that his second term would witness massive improvement in the provision of infrastructure, entrepreneurial development, education and quality healthcare delivery services across the 179 communities that constitute the state.
