In a strong message of assurance on Friday, the President declared that Nigeria faces its challenges head-on and remains steadfast in championing its interests on the global stage with calm, clarity, and purpose.

“We face challenges head-on and remain steadfast in our commitment to engage partners and champion Nigeria’s interests on the diplomatic front,” Tinubu said. “We are confidently asserting our presence on the global stage, guided by unwavering calm, clarity, and a strong sense of purpose.”

Speaking against the backdrop of renewed global focus on security in Nigeria, President Tinubu restated that the fight against terrorism — which has plagued Nigeria for nearly two decades — will be pursued with renewed determination until the menace is eradicated.

“We are indeed faced with terrorism, a challenge Nigeria has faced for almost two decades, and we will not back down. We will decisively defeat terrorism and claim victory in this battle. Security is non-negotiable, and we will never compromise on this principle,” he stated.

Tinubu emphasised that courage and adherence to the rule of law would remain the guiding principles of his administration’s approach to national security.

He expressed confidence that, “With unwavering courage and a steadfast commitment to the rule of law, we will prevail”.

The President underscored the unity and resilience of Nigerians in the face of adversity, describing the nation as a single family bound by shared hope and purpose.

“Nigeria is one united family. We rise together, move forward together, and reject despair in favour of determination. Our future is far more robust and stronger than any fears we may have,” he said.

He further assured citizens and the international community that the government will continue to consolidate on reforms and deliver inclusive growth alongside security stabilisation.

“The task ahead is immense, yet our resolve is even greater. We will continue to sustain and build on our reform gains and deliver a prosperous and inclusive Nigeria,” Tinubu added.

Tinubu pledged that the government would “spare no effort and leave no stone unturned ”in eliminating criminal elements from society, urging friendly nations to strengthen collaboration in intelligence sharing, training, and logistics to accelerate victory over terrorism.

“We urge our allies to stand firmly with us as we amplify our fight against terrorism. We have made significant progress in the past two years and we will decisively eliminate this threat,” the President noted.

Tinubu also reaffirmed Nigeria’s position as a dependable global partner and advocate for stability, saying the country will continue to work with its friends and allies to foster peace and shared prosperity.

“Nigeria will be, and remain a reliable partner and dependable ally to its friends and a steady voice for stability. We also welcome the collaboration and support of our allies, friends, and partners as we strengthen both security and economic growth,” he said.

The President paid special tribute to the nation’s armed forces and intelligence community, commending their courage, patriotism, and sacrifices in defending the nation’s unity and sovereignty.

“To the brave men and women of our armed forces and intelligence community, united by purpose regardless of tribe or religion, who serve fearlessly, fight side-by-side and sometimes pay the ultimate price, we express our deepest gratitude. Your commitment is our strength in the fight against terror,” Tinubu said.

He concluded with a message of reassurance that Nigeria’s collective courage, guided by the rule of law, would ensure lasting victory.

“With courage and the rule of law, we will triumph,” the President declared.
