Workers in Ministries, Department and Agencies under the Health, Education and Water Resources sectors in Bauchi State are being trained on tracking implementation of Community Charter of Demand (CCD) projects.
The participants were drawn from the four supported local government areas of Alkaleri, Bauchi, Misau and Katagum, as well as ward development committees and civil society organisations.
The training organised by the United States Agency International Development (USAID) for State2State activities, Bauchi Field Office, was aimed at ensuring that planned projects were fully implemented in the specific areas as demanded by citizens.
Community Charter of Demand seeks to ensure the provision of good governance for the community and provision of services, laws and other matters for community benefits.
It is also targeted at providing for stewardship of the public assets, and fostering the economic, social and environmental well-being of the community.
The participants were also enlightened on gender and social inclusion as well as mainstreaming of conflict resolution in tracking CCD projects, among others.
