He said, “This award is highly revered by me, giving back and contributing to the community that made me is one of my goals. While the name inscribed on this plaque is mine, the true winners of this award are optimists who have made incessant contributions to the Yoruba community in Nigeria and overseas.

“The Yoruba culture has rich cultural values and I thank Egbe Omo Yoruba, North America (EOYNA) for using their platform to support the Yoruba community in Nigeria and beyond.

Dr Adeyemi further urged Nigerians to promote their cultural heritage saying, “As Nigerians, our culture is our treasure. We need to identify with the different aspects of our cultural heritage and seek its preservation and promotion. Every Nigerian society and culture has its own unique style and traditional music and dance, which are central to the way Nigerians remember their past and celebrate their present. I urge every Nigerian today, let’s speak our culture, preach our culture, wear our culture, preserve our culture and appreciate our culture.”
