Immediate past Imo State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Marcellinus Nlemigbo has advised residents to stop blaming Governor Hope Uzodimma for the various security challenges in the state.
Nlemigbo gave the charge while interacting with newsmen in Owerri, the capital of lmo State.
He said it was wrong for anybody to blame Governor Uzodimma for the recent security breaches in the state, claiming the governor is doing a lot in his powers to correct the security challenges.
His words, “We should appeal to the unknown gunmen and other dissident groups to give peace a chance. Governor Uzodimma has done well in all sectors of governance and therefore deserves a second tenure opportunity.”
He decried the Mondays’ sit-at-home in the South East allegedly instituted by the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, noting that the development has begun to cripple the economy of the zone.
The APC stalwart applauded the media for living up to their social responsibilities and enjoined them not to relent.
Nlemigbo who is also the president-general of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru (Mbaike) Peoples Assembly also called for synergy between the media and the state government, while highlighting that Uzodimma’s achievements are glaring.
