The Coalition of Opposition Lawmakers in Nigeria, has knocked the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, for his recent statement, telling him to stop day-dreaming as the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, will never leave PDP for him.

Wike reportedly mocked his successor, Governor Fubara and his camp for resorting to the APP as an alternative political party in the forthcoming local elections in the State, saying he will teach them how to play politics.

But, Opposition Coalition in a statement by its spokesperson, Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, on Sunday, berated Wike, saying Fubara can’t leave PDP for him, but will firmly control it in the days ahead.

Ugochinyere said he wondered who told the FCT Minister that Fubara would leave PDP for him to hold it while working for APC.

The opposition lawmakers coalition spokesman described the FCT minister’s claim that Fubara has joined APP as a lie and a daydream from a losing desperate politician that is baseless.

He said, “The battle for soul of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has not even started and you are panicking like an amateur politician and running from one court to another. I will advise that you put your seat belt for the storm ahead. Thinking that Fubara will join APP and leave PDP for you shows you are an overrated politician, wait for the battle that is ahead.

“At every juncture, Fubara has outsmarted you in this fight, what makes you think he will leave PDP for an APC member like you. Watch and see how Fubara will deliver an upper cut to you in the battle for the soul of PDP, how do you think you can stay in APC and lead PDP? We are not worried about Rivers PDP because you can’t and I repeat you can’t control it. Our battle is to ensure that you are served the adequate sanction deserving of a man who, without shame, keeps betraying his political party because of political bread and butter and fear of lack of federal protection.

“PDP Rivers is being reformed and most members decided to contest the LGA election in another party, that those not mean Fubara has joined APP. Wike felt he can make LGA administration dead in Rivers but like other battles, Fubara has stabilised the LGA system and that is paining Wike so much.

“The PDP executives Wike is parading are illegal committee of friends that are unknown to the law because the court has voided it even before it was held. He should wait for the battle for the soul of PDP, which as of today, the valid Rivers PDP is with Fubara.”
